Maintenance Technician is required to join a busy but friendly production team for a subsidiary company of one of the UK's leading PVC-U manufacturing organisations. Based in Telford, Shropshire, offering a salary of £23,000 per annum plus 10% shift allowance and bonus.

Reporting to the Works Manager the main purpose of this role is to ensure that the maintenance, efficiency and safety of production machinery meet relevant Government standards.
Responsibilities:-

• To carry out routine preventative maintenance in conjunction with the maintenance database
• Ensuring maintenance/breakdown repairs are dealt with quickly
• Manage & purchase machine parts
• Provide support for shift supervisors in relation to process issues
• Carry out building maintenance

The ideal Maintenance Technician will have previous experience within a manufacturing environment although this is not essential, relevant maintenance/electrical qualification is essential.

Person Skills:-

• Must have the ability to work well as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills as a job requirement is to deal with all levels of internal personnel and external suppliers
• Excellent attention to detail

Desirable Qualifications:-

• BS7671:1992, Requirements for Electrical Installations (17th edition wiring regulations) (C&G 238001)
• ONC Electrical Qualification
• Heath & Safety/Awareness certificate or some form of training in this area
